The classic Triumph. Parallel-twin, spoked wheels and lashings of quality chrome. The T100 is our modern interpretation of the classic Bonnevilles that ruled the roost back in the 1960s.

Twin pea-shooter exhausts, two-tone paint, and that Triumph embossed seat say ‘classic British motorcycle.’ While the T100 may look like it's come straight out of ‘the day,’ the technology and ride experience most definitely do not.

The 865cc engine, an air-cooled parallel twin of course, is fitted with up to date fuel injection for clean and efficient riding. Plus, the suspension and brakes are bang up to date too, You won’t have to sacrifice today’s technology to satisfy your taste for classic, vintage design. Riding the way it was in the 'hay day'. Performance the way it is today.

The 2010 Triumph Thruxton SE adds a new "crystal white" paint scheme with a red stripe, a red powdercoated frame, a dinky flyscreen, black engine cases and new decals to the base Thruxton's handsome cafe racer look. There's no mechanical upgrades, so that means a 230kg dry weight and an 865cc parallel-twin with 68bhp and 51lb/ft of torque. We hope that colored frames are going to become a hallmark of "SE" Triumphs, like the Triumph Daytona 675 SE, it's a uniquely handsome feature.

Triumph Bonneville 1959

I have a new Triumph Bonneville that I am modifying to look more like an early 60s model. I am looking for a source for the metal trim that runs horizontally on each side of the Triumph Classic tank badge (also called the harmonica or mouth organ-style tank badge) found on late 50s and early 60s Triumphs.

Does anyone have a source for such trim, or know of an authentic-looking reproduction? Here is a photo of a 1959 Bonneville showing the trim.

    The new 2001 Triumph Bonneville is perhaps the most awaited bike of the year; the re-introduction of one of motorcycling's most famous models. In collecting information for this review I have been assisted by Steve Crocker, a 2001 Bonneville owner who lives in Solo, Indonesian. Steve's previous bike was a Suzuki GT-750. He has graciously consented to share some insights and opinions about his new Bonneville for this article. (Isn't the Internet wonderful?) The responsibility for the accuracy and presentation of the information in this review remains mine, however.
